Roots grow outward from the plants they sustain, pushing through soil to anchor, stabilize, and nourish what exists above ground. Yet roots remain largely unseen until they must be exposed or removed.
The same is true of the vascular and skeletal systems within our bodies. We rarely see the intricate networks of branches and structures that sustain and support us, though they are continually at work beneath the surface.
This work is a meditation on growth and the unseen systems that sustain us, while navigating the light and shadow within ourselves and the world around us.
