A collection of objects, some are branches and others are cast paper. It's the potential of the shape that engages me. Such a simple shape can look human like, or used like a divining rod, or a weaving form or the basis for a slingshot.
After an Acacia tree in our backyard lost some long limbs, I needed to cut the branches into smaller pieces to fit in the green bin, where they'd be taken away and chipped into mulch. The areas where the branches diverge have always interested me ,and I collected all the pieces that were Y shaped and cast paper off them. There is a mix of the real thing and its fragile doppelgänger. This is a brand new piece (2026), I am not entirely sure what's its about but it seemed important to make it.
